Sucia Island, in the San Juan Islands, is a favorite spot for boaters. It is a large, well kept State Marine Park. There are many places to anchor or tie up to a buoy in the summer, and many walking trails on the island to explore. Tonight we are in Echo Bay, watching the sunset. There is a small craft advisory and it does get a bit windy in the anchorage, but the holding is good and we simply let out a little more rode.
